GLADYS LORIMER'S RECITAL

Music lovers will be interested to learn that experts consider that a young Christchurch singer will, in the near future, be ranked amongst the world’s greatest artists. This is Miss Gladys Lorimer, a brilliant coloraturasoprano, who has been undergoing a course of extensive training under Signor Antonio Notariollo. Miss Lorimer has specialised in operatic work, with a view to ranking a career for herself in the operatic world, and experts who ■ have heard her are .unanimously of the opinion that she will quickly rise to fame. Arrangements have been made for Miss Lorimer to leave for Europe, after her New Zealand tour, where she will enter the operatic world. This gifted young coloratura-soprano will give an operatic recital in His Majesty’s Theatre on Tuesday, November 30, when the general public will have an opportunity of appraising her talents . and - attainments. A particularly fine programme will be presented, and it is confidently expected that the recital will be one of the most brilliant concerts of the season. The assisting artists will be:— Mr M. S. Robilliard, ’cellist; Mr Chas. A. Martin, pianist; Mr T. Stewart, flautist. The recital will be under the direction of the Bristol I’iano Company, where seats may be reserved on and after Thursday, November 25.
