The fortnightly meeting of Mistletoe Lodge was hold in the P.A. Hall, Green Island, A.D. Bro. _ Metcalfe presiding, visitors present being tho Bay Lodge, P.D.P. Bro. Faulds and Bro. Mayboe, of Enterprise. During the evening a debate was held between the Bay and Mistletoe Lodges, the subject being ‘Has Modern Inventions Imnrnved Happiness in the Home?’ On P.D.P. Bro. Faulds taking tho chair to act as judge the affirmative was taken by Bros. G. Wilson and Nepier, of the Bay, while the negative was supported by Bros. Reid and Hall, of Mistletoe. After a clever exposition of the arguments on both sides Bro. Faulds awarded the palm of victory, to the Mistletoe representatives. Both Bros. Mayboe and Nopier intimated that they would be candidates for D.P. of No. 2 District. The A.D. declared the lodge closed, after reminding the brethren of tho Labor Day picnic to be held at Abbotsford.

Tiie meeting of the Royal Oak Lodge was held in the lodge room, Cavershani. A.D. Bro. Isaac presiding. Official visits were received from the R.A. Chapter, Mistletoe, and Enterprise Lodges, and also several brethren from other lodges. It was decided to pay an official visit to the West Harbor Lodge on its first meeting. The sum of £2 2s was donated to the appeal from the Lily of the Valley Lodge. One name was proposed for membership. The efficiency judges being present, a candidate was prepared and duly initiated. The invitation to the R.A. Chapter to hold a P.A. competition being accepted, the Chapter officers took control of iho meeting, with R.A.D. Bro. Reid presiding. Nine entries were received, with the following result:—Bro. S. Workman 1, Bro. Workman sen. 2, and Bro. W. Harvey 3. The toast of tlie visitors having been given, the following brethren replied:—Grand Secretary Bro. IV. B. Steel, P.D.P. Bro. Eaulds (Tvnnhoc), R.A.D. Bro. Bcid, P.A. Bro. Maybee (Enterprise), A.D. Bro. Robertson (Lily of the Valley), and Bro. Cormapk (Bay).
