MORE SANCTUARIES URGED ORNITHOLOGISTS 1 CONFERENCE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY", October 22. (Received October 22, at 9.55 a.m.) At tho congress of the .Royal Australasian Ornithologists’ Union unanimous approval was given to a motion urging that tho New Zealand Government should establish more island sanctuaries upon which New' Zealand species of birds, now in danger of extinction, might bo preserved. It was resolved that tho next congress should be hold at Perth. Messrs A. S. Wilkinson and W. W. Smith were elected the New Zealand representatives on tho union council.
