President Coolidge and Mrs Coolidge went to the Rumanian Legation immediately afterwards to return the call. The Qneen was the guest at a State banquet at White House. She is tho first reigning Qneen to bo so entertained. Prince Nicholas and Princess Iloana and tho heads of tho Cabinet departments were present. ’ LEFT FOR NEW YORK. DESIRE TO TRAVEL IN PRIVATE. Their departure for New 1 ork this afternoon marked tho conclusion of tho State Department’s arrangements for the tour of the United States and Canada.

Departing from the customary practice ol foreign visitors, the Qneen has decided not to allow newspaper correspondents and photographers to accompany the special train. She desires to travel in privacy after leaving New York. , The difficulties with tho railroad which refused to grant a special rate for transporting the special train to its lines, were responsible for tho elimination of the California itinerary. The New York ‘World’ has announced that Queen Marie has arranged with a _ newspaper syndicate for the publication of its representative’s story of the journey. ■
