RUMANIAN ROYALTIES

VISIT TO AMERICA KING SERIOUSLY ILL. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, October 14. (Received October 15, at 1.30 a.m.) The Vienna correspondent of the < Gazette 1 asserts that the real reason foy the Queen of Rumania’s American visit is because , the King is seriously ill. Ho is believed to be suffering from cancer, and the physicians have only given him another two years to live. They told the Queen that if she does not go to America now she will never go as a Qneen. The Government is strongly opposed to the visit on the ground of the Rumanian people’s poverty, hut the Queen insisted, declaring that the trip would more than pay for itself owing to tho loans which she hoped to secure from American bankers.—Sydney ‘Sun’ Cable.
