Bray Bros., Ltd., report as follows for the week ended to-day:—

Little business is being recorded in the oat market, and prices remain round about 4s 3d. f.0.b., s.i., for A grade and 4s for B f s. A fair quantity of under-grade oats have been offering from the south. Supplies of chall coining to hand are just about sufficient lor the local demand. Small lots have been shipped to the North Island on a basis of £7 ss, f.0.b., sacks in. Ibis is equivalent to about £5 15s, ex truck, Dunedin. The wheat market is firm, and millers continue to pick up odd lines of suitable wheat at prices ranging up to 8s per bushel, sacks extra. A few lines of fowl wheat aro reaching the market, and prices remain firm round about 7s per bushel, ou trucks, country sidings. Dunedin millers’ prices aro as follow:—Flour, £2O ss; oatmeal, £24; bran, £8 10s; pollard, £lO 10s. The potato market is easier, and shipment prices have weakened. The latest reports from Canterbury advise that f.a.q. white tables have been quoted round about £4, f.o.b. There is very little shipping to the North Island from this market, as Canterbury merchants sell cheaper. The local market is quiet, and best quality it worth round about £6 10s per ton, ex store. Most of tho buyers prefer southern-grown potatoes, and these have brought up to £7 per ton. The onion market is steady. Some fine samples of Central Otagogrown have come to hand, and these compare very well with tho imported ones. They are selling round about 22s per cwt. Business in tho fruit marts has started to improve. The apple market has firmed up, and supplies of oranges and bananas are on the short side, bananas in particular being high in price. A further supply of these is expected next week, and tho quotation in Auckland is round about 20s per case, which means 23s landed Dunedin for green bananas. Cauliflowers are coming forward more freely, and prices aro still high. Some beautiful samples are offering this season. Lettuce also is coming forward in larger quantities. Early rhubarb is now offering. Carrots and parsnips are in good supply. Good table swedes are also plentiful and prices low. The egg market is keeping steady, and all linos coming forward are readily placed. Dairy pat butter is wanted. Honey is offering freely at SJ-d lb. Beeswax is wanted Hams and bacon are in good supply, and cheese, is offering freely. The following prices were realised during the week: — Chaff: Prime oaten, £5 15s to £6 10s; oaten straw, £3 10s; wheaten straw, £2 10s, Fowl wheat, 7s Cd. Oats; A Cartons, 4s 2d bushel; B Cartons, 3s 6d bushel. Honey: Choice bulk, to 5Jd lb; sections, 9s 6d to 11s 6d dozen; pats, slb, 2s (id dozen; pats, lib, 8s Gd; 101 b tins, 6s Gd. Cheese, to lid lb. Bacon (Hitchon’s), Is 4d. Hams, Is 4Jd lb. Butter: Dairy pat, to Is 3d; bulk, Is sd; factory pats, Is Gld. Swede turnips, to 3s Gd. Onions (Japanese), 23s crate. Potatoes: Ou train and Stirling, to £7; Canterbury and Oamaru, £5 15s to £6 os. Seed potatoes: Snowflake, 12s; Arran Chief, 7s cwt. Brussels sprouts, to 5d lb. Cabbages, 3s to 7s hag. Cauliflowers, 3s to IGs dozen. Eggs: Stamped, Is sd; cased, Is 4d; preserved, Is dozen. Carrots, to 6s Gd cwt. Parsnips, 4s cwt. Beeswax, to Is 4d lb.
