BATTLE OF 81. COEKTIN , COMMEMORATION SERVICE. Press Association—By Telegraph —Copy rigid. LONDON, September 9. At Mr Bruce’s request a commemoration service was hold at fet. Quentin on tho anniversary of the battle iu which tho 2nd Australian Division participated. Major Phillips, repre.seiu.mg Australia, was met by the mayor and councillors, and attended Mass ior the Australian dead, and later a procession was formed, which first laid wreaths on the graves of French soldiers on behalf of Australia, then on tho Australian memorial. The Mayor of St. Quentin sent a message to Australia expressing tho local inhabitants’ sincere feelings of friendship.
