MBS SEVAN FOUND GUILTY FOR HER SON’S SAKE. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 9. Mrs Revan was found guilty and was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment. In passing sentence the judge said that she had been guilty of a serious and deliberate offence which she had carried out with remarkable skill and ingenuity. “You did it tor an unworthy son, and played the part of a loyal mother,” he added, “ but you broke the laws.” ■ [Ou February 8 laid, Susannah Bevan alias Trixie Finch, who was arrested near Glentui, was charged, before Mr H. Y. Widdowson, S.M., in Christchurch, with having, on or ahont Juno 24, 1922, at London, conspired to defraud tho Prudence Assurance Company, Ltd., of London, of £2,881 K’s 6d. She was remanded to England.]
