BENEFIT CONCERT

A vofv interesting concert will be held in His Majesty’s Theatre on Tuesday next, when a benefit will bo tendered to tho widow and children of tho late Stanley Foote. Tho programme will include choruses and part songs by the Returned Soldiers’ Choir, who will render the following items: — ‘The Viking’s Song’ (by Coleridge Taylor), the part song ‘ Awake, yEolmn Lyre,’ and the Russian folk song ‘ Tho Song of the Volga Boatman.’ The Leech Lyric Club will give excerpts from ‘Merrie England,’ including the chorus and song ‘ A-down, A-down,’ the march and chorus 4 Long Livo Elizabeth,’ song and chorus ‘0 Peaceful England,’ song and chorus 4 The Month of May,’ waltz song ‘Who Shall Say?’ finale ‘ Robin Hood’s "Wedding.’ _ The following vocalists will assist:—Miss M. Wilson, D. and V. M'Curdy, Miss S. Mitchell, Messrs P. Palmer, S. H. Osborn, W. Mitchell, and Arnold Perry. Miss E. Fountain, L.T.C.L., and Mr h. James will act as accompanists. The box plan is now open at The Bristol, and tickets may now he obtained at Tho Bristol, Messrs Chas. Begg and Co., Sports Depot, J. Starr, and tho Geyser.
