HANOVER STREET SEWER.

TO THE EDITOB. Sir,—Cr Wilson must know that for months past tho residents have been complaining of the manner in which this work has been conducted, and his remarks are an insult added to injury. It seems to me the engineer has dug himself into a hole bo does not know how to get out of, otherwise where is the sense of spending thousands of pounds putting in an elaborate sewer and then carefully blocking it off from its outlet? Let tho public inspect for themselves. I am glad some public notice is being taken of tins matter. No doubt tho influential people near George street are beginning to realise what they are in for, and will now help us smaller fry to get some' measure of relief from an intolerable nuisance.—l am, etc., Indignant. August 13.
