HANOVER STREET SEWER.
TO THIS EDITOS. Sir, —Your correspondent, “ Reasonable ” says this job has boon going on for twelve months, but I think eighteen months would bo much nearer the mark. Why is it necessary that work should only progress in “ penny ” sections, and very slowly at that, as' it appears to me that the job would easily carry double the number of men that are usually employed there, and thus help to relievo the slackness in the labor market, and give well-deserved relief to the residents in the vicinity ? I am, tc., He stub* August 13.
