Air Association message from Auckland states that, an error in recording the investments on the raw .won by Joy Ride, at the Avondale Spring Meeting last year cost Francis Sinclair Yates, the •lotaiisncor propi ietor, £1,600, and was the ehiel cause of his bankruptcy. Ifc had to pay the 'dividend out of his own pocket. Asked how much money would pass through In's hands in a year at the totalisator, he managed, bankrupt replied £.300,000.
