INFANT’S FATAL DRINK, Roy Carey, aged eighteen months, who was admitted to Auckland Hospital on Monday last suffering from the offers of drinking caustic sode, died last night. KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. Mrs Elizabeth Craig, who was severely injured in an accident at Auckland on Monday evening, died in the hospital last night. She was run ever by a motor car after dismounting from a moving tramcar, which she had discovered was not the one she meant to hoard. INJURED JOCKEYS, The cross-country jockey, A. Tricklehank, who fell frpm Ranui at tho first fence in the Grand National, at Christchurch, regained consciousness last night. He is suffering from a fracture of the base of the skull and severe bruises, but is progressing ilyWhile taking part in tho Dash Handicap at Addington yesterday, Homer fell when running out of the straight, bringing "down Daphne Wildwood. G. Caddy, the rider of Daphne Wildwood, was taken to tho hospital. He is suffering from injuries to the head and right shoulder.
