(Received August 12, at 8.50 a.m.) Five thousand ounces of gold have arrived in Sydney from the Bulolo district, in the Now Guinea mandated territory. Forty miners are now operating in the district, and a similar number are waiting to proceed to the fields, but are unable to do so owing to the difficulty of securing labor to carry stores.

Hamilton, late of Dunedin, and at present editor of tho llabaul ‘Times, - Rabaul, stated that at the Morobe Goldfield ten claims were estimated to be producing l,ooooz per day. The first prospectors got lOoz to the dish. The possibilities of tho field were phenomenal, and it was considered a veritable Eldorado.
