Our list of lay preachers has J^ n mented by tho addition of two veterans in tho persons of Mr C. Mhite and Mr Isbister. The meetingsof the i Ladies’ Guild have been well attended. I A pleasing feature of the Sunday ser- ; vices is the bright and attractive, sing--1 ing of the choir. A few of the junior members have been induced to join their voices to those who have rendered such excellent service for a number of years. The congregation is i under a debt of gratitude to the choir, 1 1 its leader (Mr Bruce), and its or- ■ ganust (Mr Burton). The office of Sunday School superintendent which has been so long and honorably filled by Mr Roberts (ill, it is regretted), is temporarily vacant. Mr R- Blair, an expert in religious education ot the young, is giving tho school the benefit of bis experience. Mrs Blamircs, owing to ill-health, has rchn- ' quished all church activities for the time. We express deep appreciation of her excellent services, and our sympathy. The y.M.B.C. has secured the services of Miss Smith as successor to ; Mrs Blamires. Until Miss Alice Hendra took charge tho Junior was also without a leader. Mr Clare found it necessary to resign the leadership of the Y.M.8.C., hnfc Mr MTndoo (a comparatively new member of the church) had taken tho position and proved his worth. Mr _ Young (singing leader) and Misses Moire and Eileen Young (pianists) continued conducting the children’s song. The Junior Christian Endeavour, had a serviceable year under the guidance of Mr R. Morris. Some of tho young pep-

pie have been very active m the interests of the Band of Hope, particularly has Miss Mabel Davidson. The Young Worshippers’ League, and the recently-formed club of Sunday School girls, were thriving, and despite resignations and losses the year had been profitable. The pastor had been very helpful and inspiringj and there had been an improved spiritual tone on Sundays and at communion services. Some of the young people had given evidence of a real devotion to their Lord and Master, The financial report showed a credit balance of £l9 14s. ENTERTAINMENT.
