CONCERT AT SOUTH DUNEDIN
The funds of the South Dunedin stall at the Sisters of Mercy garden fete, which is to ho held towards the close of this month, should Iw considerably augmented as the result of a concert hold in the South Dunedin Town Hall last evening. The seating accommodation was taxed to its utmost capacity, and the lengthy programme proved to bo a meritorious one. Contributing to the programme were the following:— Pianoforte duet, Misses A. Allan and K. Whelan; song, ‘Youth and Spring,’ Miss B. Gallien; skipping rope dance, Miss Laura Bain; cornet duet, ‘Watchman, What of the Night?’ Messrs D. Fitzpatrick and E. Bartlett; song, ‘ Se Saran Rose,’ Miss L. M'Donald; musical monologue, Mrs M. O’Sullivan; song, ‘Friend of Mine,’ Mr F. Dillon; dance, Miss Cora Duff; song, Mr H. PoppelwoII; song, ‘The Meeting of the Waters,’ Miss Annie Muir; dance duo, Misses Olga Ferguson and Joyce Todd; song, Mr Bert Rawlinson: recitation. Miss A. Helcy; song, Mrs Sandys; Irish hornpipe, Miss D. O’Sullivan; song, ‘ Break of Day,’ Miss M, Lunan; song, Mr M. O’Sullivan; pianoforte duet. Misses A. Allan and K. Whelan; song, ‘Danny Boy,’ Master Toomey; song, ‘Gala Water,’ Mrs J. Gilchrist; Russian dance, Miss Ethel Todd; song, ‘Morning,’ Miss Lillian M'Donald; violin solo, Master Neil Robertson; song, Mrs Sandys; recitation, Mr Allan Young; old English song, ‘The Wolf,’ Mr Bert Rawlinson; acrobatic dance, Miss Phyllis Eckhoff; song, Miss B. Gallien; Irish jig, Miss Doreen O’Sullivan; song, ‘ My Girl,’ Mr R. Richards; recitation, Miss A. Heley; song, ‘l’ll Sing to You,’ Mr F. Dillon; song, Mr M. O’Sullivan; trio, ‘Ye Shepherds Toll Me,’ Miss Muir, Mrs Gilchrist, and Mr B. Rawlinson. Miss M. P. Noonan, L.T.C.L., was the accompanist. Aj. the dose of the concert a dance jras bold.
