Mr Forbes asked when the report was tabled if it was proposed to bring down legislation. Mr Downie Stewart replied that the report had been in the hands of the Government for only a week. Cabinet had been working very hard, and, as a consequence, had been unable to digest it fully. However, it was probable that an announcement would be made with regard to tho report and sdso- in respect to the projected Bill and the Bank of New Zealand’s scheme.
