A plea against deportation was mads by a Serbian, Sava Vujovich, who appeared in the Police Court on a charge of remaining in New Zealand in contravention or the immigration restriction regulations. Counsel said the accused had landed from the Norwegian steamer Tulega eleven months ago, unci bid found employment. On account of differences in nationality ho had not boon well treated by the crew of the vessel, and had complained to the police in Wellington.
