YESTERDAY’S PARLIAMENT
The House of Representatives met at 2.30 p.m. Mr K. J. Howard gave notice of his intention to introduce the C’omixmsation to Workers Amendment Bill. The Speaker reported that he had presented to Uis ICxcelloncy the Gov-ernor-General the reply which the Mouse had made to his speech, and that His Excellency had made suitable acknowledgment. Leave of absence for the remainder of the session was, an the motion of Mr G. W. Forbes, granted to Mr T. M. Wilford, member for Hfitt. On the motion of the Prime Minister, the following Select Committee was set up to report on the regulations as to the control of motor omnibuses gazetted in tenns of the Board of Trade Act, 191!), and it* amendments, together with ,any petitions presented to the House relating to same:—Messrs J. S. Dickson, P.. Fraser. G. W. Forbes, JJ. Holland, V. 0. Potter, K. Howard. E. F. C. K. MacMillan, W. J. Savage, T. Iv. Sidey, H. L. Tapley, (die Hon. Jv. S. Williams, and the mover. Tim House then discussed Sir Frank Heath's report oig research, whicli was referred to the Government for consideration. The House rose at 11.42 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday. The debate on the Budget will commence at 7.30 p.m.
