NEW PLYMOUTH BOYS' HIGH

FOUII CLASS ROOMS GUTTED. [Per United Press Association.] A'l'lW PLYMOUTH, June 12. Fire broke out in the Boys’ High School buildings about 4 this morning, and before it was suppressed gutted four class rooms and destroyed all the contents. The lire was supposed to have started in a fireplace. The brigade attended promptly, but tho fire had a good hold upon tho flooring and other woodwork, and it took an hour to get tho flames under control. Tho building is of concrete. The damage is extensive, but no estimate is yet formed. Outside accommodation will ho secured to enable tho school to carry on during the rebuilding. Tho building was insured in the South British Office for £II,OOO, and the damage will probably run into £5,000 or £O,OOO. There were fires in two or threo rooms last night, but when the premises wore locked up everything seemed safe, and as late as 2 a.m. there was no outward sign of anything wrong. The fire was first observed by a. boy in a boarding establishment nearby shortly before 4 a.m.
