, A noteworthy, act of gallantry on the part of a Parisian taxi cab driver has just been brought to public notice through the 1 Paris ‘ Excelsior.’ Two ladies hurrying to catch a train at the Garo d’Orleans hailed a taxi cab for tho journey, but when they reached the station about ten minutes before the. train was due to leave they found that they had forgotten their money. They explained to the driver, who replied: "That does not matter, mssdames. Pay me another time. You muet not miss your train.” But there was a further difficulty, for the ladies were unable to buy their tickets. Again the taxi driver reassured them, for, having asked their destination and the class by which they wished to travel, he carried their luggage to tho train and purchased tickets for them.
