The Council of Education resumed at Wellington yesterday. Dr Marsdcn. Assistant Director of Education, said it would probably take seven or eight years to change over to the junior high school system j but during the interregnum much might be done to formulate a. definite scheme of unification. A start had been made by reorganising the secondary school examinations to provide for a gradually-broadening change. The council then went into committee to discuss tentative proposals.
