'GIVE AND TAKE ’
' FUJI AT HIS MAJESTY’S Last night’s audience , thoroughly amused and entertained by Mr Harry Green and his company in the farce-comedy Give and Take, presented for the second time at His Majesty's Theatre. The sober first act was quite impressively played, while as the fun gathered force quicklv in the second and third acts the laughter grew and grew. Even the members of the company were last night mirthfully afflicted, and at times found it difficult to compose their features and voices for delivery of the occasional serious lines. Mr Harry Green stood out in the leading role, and Miss Vera Rpaul! amain attracted attention by reason of her well-balanced character study. Mr Edward He Tisne overexaggerated the comedy in the part of Albert Kruger, especially in respect to facial contortions. Knowing that there was a reputed “crazy” character in the story, the audience might he excused for mistaking Albert Kruger for that one. Mr Hal Percy was earnest in the part of Hauer, juii., whose Communistic ideas almost wreckeij his father’s business; while Mr Edwin Lester as the hanker and Mr George Hewlett as Thomas Craig (the lunatic who proved to be no lunatic) helped things along. A decidedly pleasing leature of the evening’s entertainment was the playing of the orchestra. ‘Give and Take’ will be repeated tonight and on Monday night.
