AUCKLAND'S POSITION RELIEVED ROAD CONSTRUCTION WORK. [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, June 10. Unemployment in Auckland is likely to be greatly relieved in consequence of the successful outcome of negotiations between the mayor and the Prime Minister. The Government agreed to find £117,000 as its share of tho cost of constructing the proposed waterfront roadway to Orakei, and has authorised the City Council to raise £IOO,OOO for providing relief works for unemployment without taking a poll of the ratepayers.
