WIRELESS AND JAZZ.

TO TUB EDITOR. Sir, —“ Crystal Set ” and “ Disgusted No. 4 ” take me to task for certain charges levelled at them. Wireless license works out at about 7,*d per week, or a fraction over Id per night. One cannot expect to hear the elite of musicians for that princely sum. Nevertheless, I will admit that the programmes as at present broadcasted are Veil below the standard, and that it is time something was done to remedy the fault of so much mechanical music. If “Disgusted No. 4” and “Crystal Set” wore to give their addresses to the editor for publication, so that all who have a grievance could write to them, quoting each one’s grievance, with signature, these two could forward the letters on in bulk to headquarters, Christchurch, where they would have more effect than on© or two letters to the editor.—-I am, etc., 8.8.8.

[Wo have received other letters complaining, in the same terms, of this serviceq besides those published.—Ed. E.S.]
