DAIRY EXPORT CONTROL. The following circular has been issued by the Dairy Control Board-National brand: A number of inquiries have come to hand relative to the above question, mainly along the lines As to when butter and cheese should be packed under this brand. As you are no doubt aware, the branding regulations in connection with the export of dairy produce are controlled by the Dairy Industry Act, and are administered by the Dairy Division of the Agricultural Department. The board would acknowledge the given by the Director of the Dairy Division in the establishment of the national brand. Whilst it is impossible to fix definitely a clear lino of demarcation as far n.s shipping under the national brand is concerned, no difficulty will arise if the use of packages bearing the national brand commences from produce manufactured from August 1.
