A special meeting of the Pride of Morniugton Lodge, U.A.0.D., was held in St. Mary’s Hall on Wednesday to do honor to Bro. I. Oliver, G.P. or Otago and Southland, and a member of this lodge. The lodge was opened by A.D. Bro. Bartlett, and was then adjourned. Tho G.P. and his officers wore introduced by the M.C. and cordially welcomed by tho A.D. As there was a lengthy toast list, the chairman (Bro. T. Bartlett) opened tho proceedings by proposing the toast of “Tho King” and “Tho Druids.” P.G.P. Bro. J. Dove, of Otago Lodge, then proposed tho toast of “The Guest of Honor,” G.P. Bro. 1. Oliver. In the course of his remarks he drew a brie! outline of all the good work put into tho order by Bro. Oliver. A tribute to tho esteem in which the G.P. is held by the brethren was shown by a most gorgeous lily being given to tho M. of C.’s to be handed to tho G.P. G.T. Bro. Birt was then called upon, as secretary of the lodge, to present to the G.P. a small token from his own lodge. This took tho form of a gold medal embossed on one side with flic letters U.A.0.D., and on the reverse side; “Presented io Bro. I. Oliver, first G.P. of Lodge LI.” In making tho presentation, Bro. Birt remarked that the G.P. had made himself one of the host-liked men in the order. G.P. Bro. Oliver replied to P.G.P. Bro. Dove’s toast and tho lodge’s presentation, and thanked all the brethren in tho order for their whole-hearted support and confidence. The half-yearly meeting of tho Enterprise Lodge was presided over by A.D. Bro. (Jersey, and was well attended. Sick pay and the usual quarterly accounts were passed for payment. Tho D.P. of No. 2 Distinct (Bro. Harvey) paid an official visit, and was received with Druidic honors. Tho appeal on behalf of a distressed brother was reported on as being worthy of assistance. usual honors. Challenges for the 1 euchre shield were received from the | Good Intent and Pride of Mornington lodges, and after consideration it was decided to accept the challenge from Good Intent Lodge, the contest to take place at the next meeting. One candidate was presented and duly initiated. Pro. lloutledge reported on tho meeting of the United Friendly Societies’ .Dispensary Board, while V.A. Pro. Racklev and Routledge; M.C., Pro. T. If. Hudson; minute secretary, Pro. R. Hudson, The half-yearly meeting of the All Nations Lodge was hold in Port Chalmers on Tuesday, being presided over by A.D. Pro. At ‘Kenzie. The Grand Lodge wrote giving consent to a public installation next lodge night. Pros. Peeves, M'Alpine, and Wade wore appointed delegates to the Friendly Societies’ Council. The election of officers resulted as follows:—A.D., Pro. A. Groves; V.A., Pro. A. M'Gregor; secretary, Pro. 0. Jacobson (re-elected); treasurer, Pro. R. M'Alpine (reelected) ; LG., Pro. H. Reeves; auditors—Bros. C. Wade and C. Timlin. D.P. Pro. M'Farlano paid an official visit, and was cordially welcomed. Hie half-yearly meeting of Linden Lodge was held on Tuesday, A.D. Pro. Reid presiding over a very good attendance of officers and members. After tho usual business had been transacted a member was initiated. An official visit was received from D.P. Pro. M'Farlano, and he was heartily welcomed. A report was given by P.G.P. Pro. Sunderland. Next lodge night it was decided to hold a social to take tho form of a dance, and all brothers were asked to bring a partner. The election of officers resulted as follows:—A.D., Pro. Owens and Beveridge; 1.P.A., Pro. Reid; M.C., Pro. M'Farlano (re-elected); auditors —Pros. M'Farlano and W. Duff.

Bay Lodge hold its half-yearly meeting on Tuesday night at the Coronation Town Hall, when A.I). Bro. H. Napier was greeted with a splendid attendance of members and visitors. The Royal Arch Chapter paid an official visit, as also did the Pride of Mornington and several members of Royal Oak and Enterprise Lodges. Bro. Harvey, the D.P. of No. 2 district, was then announced, and he received a true Druidic welcome from the brothers. The Royal Arch Chapter took over the chair of the lodge, and conducted the business for the rest of the meeting. Royal Arch Druid Bro. A. Reid extended on behalf of Ray Lodge a hearty welcome to the D.P. and to the various other visitors. After much correspondence was dealt with P.D.P. Bro. G. Wilson gave a lengthy report on the Friendly Societies’ Dispensary Council, in which he stated that P.G.P. Bro. Sunderland lias been elected president. The lodge passed a motion ot sympathy with Dr Do Lnntonr on his being laid aside through illness, and wished him a sneedy reenvery. Tim Royal Areh Chapter then conducted an Arch Druids’ coin petit inn, for which five brothers entered, the winner being Past Arch Bro. W. Workman. Tho election of officers resulted as follows : A.D..
