,CENTRE MEETING Last night’s meeting of the Dunedin Bowling Centre was presided over by Mr A. M'Kenzie. Congratulations to Mr Tonkin, a member of the centre, on his winning the champion of champions singles final were extended by the president. The report by Mr A. J. Sullivan, manager of the Otago team which played Southland at Invercargill, was received, and on his suggestion the centre decided to convey to Southland the Otago players’ appreciation of the good feeling and sportsmanship displayed daring their stay.—lt was also decided that the greenkoeper bo thanked for Ids services. On the motion of the president the centre decided that a letter he sent to the Exhibition directors thanking them for their generosity in extending a reception to the Canterbury and Otago bowlers on the occasion of the match for tho Redpnth Shield. It was reported that, the badges for ox-presidents of the centre had come to hand, and it was decided that the recipients bo asked to attend tho next meeting of the centre to accept tho badges. It was reported by Mr Campbell that a picture had not yet been purchased for presentation to the Dunedin Club in recognition of the dominion championship rink being among its members. The following draw was made for the Rink Shield competition to bo decided on Saturday on the Caledonian Croon Fairfield v. North-east Talley, Taieri v. Caledonian, Kajkorai v. Caversham, Roslyn v. Anderson’s Bay, West Harbor v. Otago, Leith v. winner Kaikorai-Cavershnm. Port Chalmers v. Breen Island. Dunedin v. St. Clair v ;St. Hilda v. winner Fairfield-Valley, Mornington v. winner Taieri-Caledonian, Balmacewcn v, Kaitnmv. Tho first'six rinks will commence play at 1 p.m., a>'d the second round will commence at p.m It was resolved that the_ final of the interclnb banner competition between the Caledonian and North-east Valley Chibs be played on March 27 on the greens of the participating clubs.
