CHINESE GAMBLERS FINED
[Pee United Phess Association.] WELLINGTON, March 15. As the result of police raids on Saturday Ah Chin Lcong was lined £3O for keeping a common gaming-house. Leong’s house was raided in the afternoon. He was bailed out, and his premises were again raided in the evening. Default was fixed at two months. Ah Tek and Ah Young, on similar charges, were fined £2O, in default six weeks. For being found on the premises three Europeans were also fined.
