The Hon. G. Witty came up from Invercargill this morning, and went on to Christchurch by the same train. A London cable states Unit Air Alarconi was operated on at a London nursing homo for an internal complaint, which was at hist thought to be appendicitis. Air J. Tokugawa, Japanese ConsulGeneral, will arrive in Dunedin to-mor-row, and will leave again on Wednesday. Luring bis stay here he will bo at the Grand Hotel.
Mr 11. E. Alexander, director of Lincoln College, and Mrs Alexander sail next week tor the Old Country on a holiday visit.
