CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

COUNCIL'S MONTHLY MEETING

The monthly meeting of the council of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce was held last evening, with Mr F. S. Shortt presiding. Mr 0. Crow was appointed delegate to the committee set up by the Y.W.C.A. to arrange for the institution of a Dunedin organisation for imparting advice in vocational matters to children leaving the schools. Mr T. Somerville was appointed chairman of the Manufacturers* Committee in place of Mr J. IT. Stewart, who is absent from the dominion. The council decided to ask members of the chamber to give support to the special pictorial history or the_ New Zealand and South Sens Exhibition to be published under the authority of the Government Publicity Board.
