CAIRO, February 14. What is believed to bo a record donation, for humanistic science rescaeh has been offered bv Fir John Rockefeller, jur., to King Fuad and the people of Egypt. The offer is one of 10,000,000 dollars for maintaining the Cairo Museum, which is probably the finest in the world, and establishing an archeological’ institute in connection with the museum.

Professor J. H. Breasted, the distinguished American Orientalist, who formally presented the offer to King Fuar, declared in an interview that the donor seeks by the gift to express the friendship of America, the newest land in the West, for Egypt, the oldest land in the East.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
