AUSTRALIA AND CANADA
TRADE TREATY, FRUITGROWERS’ CRITICISM. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright VANCOUVER. January 19. Criticism of the Australian Trade Treaty in so far as it afreets the fruit industry of Canada was featured In presidential address by Mr Lionel Ward' at the annual meeting of the British Columbia Fruitgrowers 1 _ Association at Vernon, British Columbia, on Tuesday. He warned his hearers that the treaty was one which would have very serious effects on the fruit and vegetable industry. The province had already received quotations for apricot pulp at a lower delivered price than the growers had been receiving in the past for fresh fruit. The same condition was likely to arise with regard to berry pulp and canned tomatoes.—Reuter.
