J. C. WILLIAMSON VAUDEVILLE

Commencing to-morrow (Saturday), at His Majesty’s Tlioatre, and opening at the matinee, another company of international vaudeville stars Irom the Sydney and Melbourne theatres of J. C. Williamson inaugurates a short holiday season. The new combination, which , is the eighth sent by the firm’s big vaudeville circuit, is presented by the New Zealand Entertainers' (by arrangement with J. V. Williamson, Ltd.). The head-liner is the mirthful music master, in his world-famed compositions, Herschel Hcnloro. Described as “ The -Mirthful. Music- Mas ter,” Herschel is a star whose name has headed many of the most famous variety halls of America, England, and the Continent. One Sydney critic says: “ Henlore scored a decided triumph at his opening nt the matinee. He occupied the stage for fifty minutes, and then took six curtain calls, finishing with a characteristic speech. Hcnlero is a great artist; he is a genius.” The company supporting the star includes artists selected from the cream of the world's vaudeville stage. One of London’s most popular comedians and composers is Scott Sanders, whose Scotch and character songs have been a big hit in Australia. An American describes the Aerial Henos as amazing ■’trapeze artists, who feature in tboir act a dive from the dome of the theatre by Alma. From the Continent are Lee Mason and Runny, who present an act ot laughter and mystery. A novelty sensation is presented by Fantasi. Direct from London are the Throe Swifts, club-juggling comedians, in hurricane manipulations, mixed up with plenty ot fun.
