I)r G. 11 Thompson, chairman of bo High Schools’ Board of Governors, mid that this school was distinguished by tho vigor and enthusiasm of tho Old Boys’" Society that stood behind it. Among tho old boys no one had been more enthusiastic and vigorous in bis support of tho school in very many ways than the late Dr Fulton. Ho had great powers of organisation, and devoted them i.o the interests of his- old school. The building beside thorn was tho Fulton building, and th© clock over the doorway was tho Fulton clock. Ho would like present-day boys to remember that they wore encompassed by a great cloud of witnesses. This country was a mushroom compared to tho Homo Country, but the school would in time have behind it a great )ii.story, and prominent in that history would bo the name of Dr Fulton. It would bo rare to find in the city a man so esteemed and loved as was “Bob” Fulton, and it was a great thing to have such a man Liking so great a part in the work of the Old Boys’ Society. He road the following inscription which is on a tablet erected in the main buildings— In memory of Robert Valpy Fulton, M.D... Ed in., a pupil of this sehool, 1.878-81, president of Old Boys’ Association, 1.914-1933, chairman Jubilee Executive 1913, presi-

The Rector, Mr W. J. Morrell, on behalf of the school, accepted the clock with great pleasure, and said that no one, was more aware of the greatness of Dr Fulton’s services to Iho school than tho speaker. To thorn who knew him, no memorial tablet was needed to keep his memory alive, but tlm.ro would come a time when he was nob known personally, and t.ltose who looked on those memorials would realise something of tho feelings Dr Fulton inspired, and of hie services to (.ho school. Ho expressed bis pleasure at the presence of Mrs Fulton and other members of the family with them, and said they must realise in how great esteem Dr Fulton was held.
