MURDER IN MELBOURNE

MELBOURNE. December J 6. (Received December 16, at 10.45 a.m.) Mrs Ray Gurnell, residing with her husband at St. Kilda. was shot dead by a man who called at her home late last night. From the meagre details it appears that the man engaged the deceased in conversation at the door. A quarrel Followed, and the man fired six shots from a revolver, all taking effect. He then decamped. The reason for the murder is unknown.
