Protest meetings are being nolo throughout France against the Government’s now taxation, at which M. Loucheur was denounced.- Tax strikes are threatened.—A. and N.Z. Cable. M. LOUCHEUR’S WEAKNESS. PARIS, December 14. M. Briand held a conference with M. Loucheur late last night, but no < decision was reached until after a Cabinet meeting to-day. The ‘ Daily Telegraph ’ states that M. Cable. POSITION GBOWING MOBE SERIOUS. PARIS, December 15. (Received December IP. at_B.sU a.m.) The financial position is growing more serious, ns M. Loucheur unexpectedly desires to remain in office.
