Business is practically restricted to forward sellers. Wheat. —Apart from fowl wheat very little is being done in this market. \Ve quote good whole fowl wheat 7s 3d per bushel, ex truck (sacks extra). Chaff.—Supples are coming to hand more freely, and sales have a slackening tendency. We quote prime oaten sheaf £5 10s per ton (sacks extra). Medium from £-1 to £4 los per ton (sacks extra). Potatoes. —Consignments of northerngrown potatoes have been coming to hand during tho past week, and consequently the market has eased slightly. Wo quote prime tables £8 10s per ton (sacks in), ex truck. Arran Chief seed from £3 per ton, ox store. Messrs Dalgoty ami Co., Ltd., report : Oats. —Tho demand is only for heavy A’s suitable for seed. Buyers show little interest in any lines of feed oats offering. The nominal value of A’s is 3s fid per bushel, ou trucks. Wheat.—There is a good inquiry for fowl wheat, and stocks are low. Jtlood whole quality is realising up to 7s fid per bushel, ex truck. Potatoes. —Canterbury potatoes have been offering locally at prices very much lower than late rates, and consequently values have eased. Sales ot prime quality tables are now being made at £8 10s per ton, ox truck. Chaff.—Consignments of prime oaicn sheaf are coming fonvwd freely, and feeders aro now holding fair stocks.
