The Russo-German understanding is now much more advanced than was described in .an earlier cable message. Germany is ready in principle to sign a commercial agreement with Russia as soon as tho German Foreign Office. Commission returns from Moscow, whore the final text of the treaty will bo drawn. It is officially announced that tho impending agreement is regarded as a milestone on the road to a further consolidation of tho Russo-German friendly economic relations.-—Ben ter. A POLITICAL MOVE. LONDON, October 3. Messages from Berlin indicate that M. Tchitchorin’s activities in Poland and Germany are aimed at spiking the Security Pact, the Soviet fearing that the pact will lead Germany to look westward instead of eastward.—A. and NiZ. Cable.
