It is reported that the statue of a Judea-Baby lonian princeling lias been bought by' a group of connoisseurs iu Paris, and is now being exhibited at Copenhagen.—A. and N.Z. Cable. [A. recent message staled that an 18in soapstone statue of a Judca-Baby-lonian princeling who ruled 4,425 years ago was an object which was exciting a'search in London by the police, acting on behalf of the Colonial Office. The statue was oi unique interest, and was valued at several thousands of pounds. It was brought from Bagdad after a fight among the Arab finders, in which six men were killed. The survivor sold the statue to a Bagdad merchant, who brought it to London recently find offered it to a well-known dealer in antiques.
