ALCOHOL FROM BREAD
PRODUCT FROM THE STEAM,
GERMANY ACQUIRES PATENT. LONDON, September 19. An Italian Lae patented a machine by which be is able to produce alcohol from the steam arising from bread during baking. A ton of flour thus yielded nearly two and a-quarter gallons ot aiGermany has purchased the patent, and the 450,000 tons of potatoes and grain used annually for the production of alcohol will now bo available to make bread and alcohol simultaneously.
