AUSTRALIAN LOANS
BETTER LONDON MARKET. LONDON, September 18. The fact that a considerable amount of the New York portion of the Australian loan has been bought in London, owing to the New York price being now at a discount, is likely, says the ‘ Financial News,’ to influence negotiations for the new loan which are now proceeding. It will enable the Commonwealth to obtain better terras in London, where the authorities are not likely to object to the issue, as it is evident that New York loans will eventually be imported hero.
