A.]). Bro. Henderson, at the Lily of the Valley Lodge meeting in the hall, Millar street, North-east Valley, was greeted by a good attendance, including visitors, P.D.P. Bro. Brookie (ivanhoo) and P.A. Bro. Wade (All Nations). P.G.P.. Bro. Mithell also favored the lodge with a visit. The juvenile movement agreement with the J 3. of M. was ratified, and a meeting of the committee arranged for next night. The question of the appointing of a second medical officer occupied some time, and resulted in Dr Fulton being unanimously appointed. The item on the syllabus being a dance, the lodge adjourned. The Royal Arch Chapter of Otago held its monthly meeting in the hall, Dowling street, R.A.D. Bro. Mncfarlane presiding over a fair attendance. The result or the Ross-Stewart teams’ competition was received, and a good deal of discussion took place relating to same. A notice of motion to amend the regulations was given._ The question re regalia was considered, and the R.A. Treas., Bro. B. Reid, was appointed to visit the Pride of Mornington and place the matter before these brethren.
The many friends of D.P. Bro. Faulds will be pleased to learn that the brethren of No. 1 district arc not going to allow him to retire from office, and have nominated him for the remainder of his terra. '
The Ivanhoo Lodge meeting was well attended, A.D. Bro. A. Seddon presiding. D.P. Bro. Faulds announced his resignation as D.P. The loyal toasts Avere responded to by P.A. Bro. Wade, of All Nations Lodge. Ivanhoe Lodge has now the euchre shield ready for No. 1 district, and has issued a challenge to Otago Lodge. During the evening musical items were rendered by several brothers.
