Cable. ■ [lt was reported from Elizabethvillo last month that a native religious fanatic and some followers were holding meetings in the neighborhood of Sakania. They wore making forcible conversions, and slaughtered lifty natives in one village. A small patrol of native police sent to investigate were driven off with casualties’ both in killed and wounded. The Belgian authorities then despatched troops. It was later stated that the deaths were caused by baptism in a river.]
