BILLIARDS, On Thursday evening the members of the North-east Valley Bowling Club paid a return visit to the Returned Soldiers’ Club, where they were entertained by the members of tlto R.S.A. In their previous encounter a week ago the ox-soldiers suffered a severe defeat at the hands of the bowlers, but'on this occasion the returned men turned tbe tables, but only by a very narrow margin, the aggregate scores being;—Billiards: North-east R.S.A., 1,132. ROWING. CREW FOR MELBOURNE. An invitation has been extended to the Hamilton Rowing Club’s crew (last year’s New Zealand champions) to visit Melbourne next month. It is understood that a crew has been selected to represent the dominion at the forthcoming Melbourne regatta, expenses being guaranteed to the extent of £IOO. The members of the crew are:—B.
