THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, August IS, At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Educational Institute to-da tiie president (Mr F. A. Garry) occupied the chair. The following remits were carried:--

That a committee he sot up consisting of representatives of the institute and of the department to arrange more suitable sets of books for primary schools than the present set of authorised books (South Taranaki).
