MOTOR COLLISION. On Monday night a narrow escape of serious accident occurred at Rotorua. A twelve-cylinder Packard car, owned by Mr Ivusabs' and driven by Mr Hint, met a sevon-seater Hudson, owned by Mr Lowrio and driven by Mr Woods, at Tntanekai street. Both cars were badly smashed, and Mr Woods was badly bruised and cut. The other occupants escaped injury. DIED EN ROUTE. While being convoyed by motor car to the Christchurch Hospital the, death occurred yesterday afternoon of Glen CiAss, aged 2:3 years, who resided ut Lincoln. An Ashburton Association telegram states that as a result of being thrown out of a trap at the traffic bridge last evening Mrs Stoddart, aged 41, the wife or Leo Stoddart, farmer, of Willowby, sustained a fracture of the skull, dying shortly after admission to tho hospital. FOUND DEAD. An elderly man named J. Davis, who lias been a permanent boarder t the City Buffet for about eighteen months, was found dead in bed at that establishment this morning. It has been gathered from certain particulars found amongst his effects that he came from Central Otago. An inquest will be formally opened to-morrow morning. FOUND DEAD. C. Lane, a well-known resident of Otangiwai, was found dead in bed yesterday morning. Deceased had been managing a farm for the last two years, and at tho time of his death was awaiting the arrival of his successor prior to taking up his own farm at Dtorohanga.
