BILLIARD ROOM RAIDED
HAHY ARRESTS MADE [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 27. Detectives raided King’s billiard saloon in Frances street and arrested the proprietor, Harold James M'Neil, and about twenty other young men for permitting and playing an alleged unlawful game known as ‘ Murrumbidgee.’ It is played with marbles in a box, the player getting the highest number thrown to him taking the pool, less a percentage for the keeper. _ A search of the premises .resulted, it_ is alleged, in other betting material being found.
