MARITANA
The beauty ofjome of the numbers in ‘Maritana’ sets the seal to its worth, and that is some reason for its inclusion in the repertoire of opera companies to-day. The choice of pals is a happy one, and Miss Meda Paine, Miss Mildred Gillions, Mr Arnold Perry, Mr L. A. North, and Mr Walter Mitchell will endeavor to infuse sincerity into their work. Satuxday’s rehearsal with the orchestra showed the work to be well advanced, and to-morrow night’s production should be an enjoyable one. Mr John Leech will direct the performance. The holders of tickets are advised to attend early to secure a sent. Late comers will not bo admitted until after the first chorus. The production will commence At 8 o’clock sharp.
