SEQUEL TO PASSPORT ERROR. LONDON, July 11. Adeline Philip, aged thirty-nine, a Frenchwoman, who arrived at Newhaven by steamer, but who was not allowed to land because' her passport was incomplete, pleaded that she wanted to visit the grave of a man who recently died. On finding the authorities obdurate the woman took a revolver from her handbag and shot herself dead. A bottle of poison was also found in her JiwuiUaiux.
